Important facts about the Common Law Entrance Test

The Common Law Entrance Test was first started in the year 2008 in an effort to curb down the hectic process of conducting examinations at separate parts of India. Until that year, it was the law schools in India that used to conduct such tests, but later a consensus was formed between Ministry of Human Resources Development and the University Grants Commission of India, where a joint decision was taken to conduct one legal entrance examination for all students of India irrespective of their state of domicile.

With this announcement, a large number of legal entrance aspirants heaved a sigh of relief as it was now much easier for them to appear for any law entrance exam.
